Reykjavík
Fashion
Festival
(RFF)
will
take
place
from
March
29th
until
April
1st
2012
at
Harpa
and
Gamla
Bió.
These
two
iconic
yet
contrasting
venues
perfectly
embody
the
spirit
of
Icelandic
fashion,
which
combines
modernity
and
tradition
into
unique
design.
Iceland’s
most
provocative
and
skilled
designers
will
present
their
Fall
and
Winter
collections
in
a
four-day
explosion
of
fashion
design
and
music.
Reykjavik
Fashion
Festival,
established
in
2009,
has
grown
into
a
major
international
showcase
for
the
burgeoning
Icelandic
fashion
scene.
Fashion
enthusiasts,
industry
leaders
and
media
from
around
the
world
gather
at
this
annual
event
to
discover
the
latest
offerings
from
talented
designers.

is
to
create
a

for
Icelandic
designers
to
showcase

Reykjavik
Fashion
Festival

Bió
we
will
present
an
interactive
audience
panel
discussion
featuring
prominent
fashion
authorities
and
internationally
renowned
experts

an
open
and
inspirational

event

the

This
year,
RFF
expects
more
than
2000
guests
-‐
twice
as
many
as
attended
the
previous
edition.

addition
to
the
popular
runway
shows,
RFF
2012
marks
the
city’s
first
Fashion
Night
Out
and
a
pop-up
marketplace
where
fashion
fans
will
have
the
opportunity
to
be
in
close
contact
with
the
emerging
designers.
