Grand opening of YPSILON - a brand new concept store

Ypsilon, a brand new concept store opens it’s doors for the first time in downtown Reykjavík, Thursday, 13 July at 17h00.

Ypsilon is a cooperative design store in downtown Reykjavík. It is run by four designers/studios: And Anti Matter - a creative studio who make aesthetic functional objects and audio; Kolbrun - a fashion designer known for her luxe, eco-conscious clothing; Tanja Levý - a fashion/textile designer who excels at playful maximalistic outfits; and USEE Studio - a design studio that makes upcycled rave clothes and accessories with a zero waste policy.

Ypsilon is located at Aðalstræti 2, which also happens to be the home of Iceland Design Centre. It is an old building that has been carefully restored to its original state. Team Ypsilon have however transformed the Ypsilon space into a representation of the team inner kosmonaut.

Ypsilon will focus on selling products by the team running it, so expect clothing, accessories, light sculptures, scents and music; additionally Team Ypsilon has been manufacturing collaborative designs specifically for the store. Ypsilon will also have a curated selection of products from outside the cooperative.
