Designer of Adidas shoes made of recycled plastic to speak at DesignMarch



We are happy to announce that Alexander Taylor will speak at DesignTalks 2017.

Alexander Taylor, in collaboration with sports brand Adidas and environmental initiative Parley for the Oceans, released running shoes with uppers made using recycled plastic recovered from the sea earlier this year.

Alexander Taylor's industrial design studio works towards the most appropriate innovative solutions and products informed by research and development, often built upon collaborating with the industry’s finest minds and material processes.

Their clients and collaborators include Zanotta, Established & Sons, ClassiCon, David Gill Galleries in London along with several private commissions, most notably for Alexander McQueen.




The Adidas Parley Project is a prime example of how designers can help address complex challenges such as the preservation and cleaning of our oceans. According to Taylor,

"A designer can be the agitator and the agent for change. He must be entrepreneurial in spirit, seeking out collaborators to reach amazing solutions which outperform and offer truly viable alternatives to current methods."
