SPARK design space opens in Reykjavík on 8 July
On the 8th of July a new design space, SPARK, will open in Reykjavík at Klapparstígur 33.
SPARK is a platform for various design projects. A special focus will be on projects that involve collaboration between designers and other professions. Food design will play an important role on the menu. SPARK will bring to the table projects and events that will play with our senses of touch, sight, smell and taste.
The opening show on the 8th of July is titled EAU DE PARFUM and is a project by visual artist Andrea Maack. In the space, Maack will introduce three perfumes that are a resault of her collaboration with French perfumery apf aromes & parfums. The three very different scents have all been a part of Maack´s installations for the past two years and are now being introduced as a commercial product. The perfumes are titled S M A R T, C R A F T and S H A R P. Maack´s design collaborators are interior designer Ingibjörg A. Jónsdóttir and fashion designer Katrín María Káradóttir. During the exhibition special editions of the perfumes and accessories can be obtained at the design space and the website (
