Stockholm Furniture Fair and Stockholm Design Week
Stockholm Furniture Fair is a trade fair focussing on the latest in furniture, lighting, textile and other interior design for homes and public spaces. It is regarded as one of the leading design shows in the world today; more than 70 companies present their products there. Taking place at the same time as the Stockholm Furniture Fair, the Northern Light Fair emphasises on lighting design. The Greenhouse section of the Fair showcases new designers, seeking to build relationships between up-and-coming designers and production companies.
Designers Guðrún Margrét Ólafsdóttir and Oddgeir Þórðarson of Go Form have been collaborating with Swedish furniture manufacturer Möbelsnickarmästare Johansson of Markaryd. They are presenting a new table, and new versions of a chair which was originally presented at an exhibition in Copenhagen in 2007. The exhibition stand is designed by Go form; graphic design is by Katrín Ólína.
During Stockholm Design Week, which is held in conjunction with the Furniture Fair, museums, businesses and institutions hold a variety of exhibitions and events with the focus on design.
