Guðmundur Oddur Magnússon, Professor of Graphic Design at the Iceland Academy of the Arts, discusses political graphics and imagery on posters, photographs and emblems.
He talks about important elements in the history of graphical language of political protests and propaganda and compares it with the current situation in the center of Reykjavik. Guðmundur Oddur has been documenting recent protest in Iceland.
The lecture will be held at the Reykjavík Art Museum, Hafnarhús, on Thursday 12 February at 20:00.
The lecture is organized by The Iceland Design Centre in
cooperation with Reykjavik Art Museum and The Iceland Academy of the
Arts.
